Advantages of integrating Optimal Blue PPE with Encompass
- Through seamless integration with Optimal Blue, mortgage brokers and bankers can request a product and pricing decision from their preferred lenders and investors without ever leaving Encompass LOS.
- Mortgage bankers using Encompass Banker Edition and Optimal Blue can automate their lock requests and confirmations as well as receive required rate and price adjustment details directly from Optimal Blue’s engine.
- Once users have sourced and priced a loan, mortgage banks can submit those loans electronically to preferred lenders from within Encompass.
- Encompass users can also leverage Optimal Blue’s automated underwriting system to pre-qualify borrowers through an array of lenders.
Set Encompass Settings- Optimal Blue-Enhanced
- Once logged into Encompass, select the Settings option.
- Expand the Secondary Setup option, then select Product and Pricing.
- Select Optimal Blue-Enhanced as Product and Pricing Provider and check the Request Lock and Lock Confirm checkboxes.
- To ensure that lock expiration dates match between Optimal Blue and Encompass please set Encompass Expiration Settings and Calendar to the following:

VI. Send Optimal Blue Account Manager a list of company holidays.
VII. Optimal Blue Account Manager to compare customer holiday list to Optimal Blue supported holidays then open a Tech Request to add customer’s additional holidays to the database.
c. All Secondary Users will need to validate Encompass Secondary credentials in Optimal Blue for the Secondary Queue to pull. Once entered, click the “Save and Validate Encompass 360 Credentials” button. The Credentials Validation Status will read “Credentials are valid”.
d. Customer to begin testing using “Customer LOS Integration Testing” checklist.
I. Customer to confirm they can request lock,
II. accept lock,
III. request change,
IV. accept change and
V. begin to review workflow and notate any questions for In Testing call.
Optional: PII Loan Data Mapping: A setting was added in Encompass to allow Lenders control of the borrower private information and property address that is passed to Optimal Blue. The setting is on the Optimal Blue Login popup as a button labeled “Manage Data Included” which is accessible for users with “Admin” persona. The default is set to pass all data. Lenders can uncheck those data items that they do not want to be passed to Optimal Blue. This is a company-wide setting that an admin will set up and will be applicable to all users going forward.
- When Borrower SSN is unchecked, the SSN of the Borrower, Co-borrower and Co-Mortgagors will not be sent to Optimal Blue.
- When Borrower Details is unchecked, the Borrower Name and Current Address will not be sent to Optimal Blue.
- When Property Street Address is unchecked, the Street address of the Subject Property will not be sent to Optimal Blue.
Important Note: Please let Optimal Blue know should you decide to use this feature so that Optimal Blue can turn off the mapping of this data back to Encompass.
