In the previous post on Consumer Connect, we have looked into aspects of Consumer Connect which the lenders can optimize to effectively use the Consumer Connect website. This post is a continuation of the previous post where we continue with the multiple check points within Consumer Connect which a lender can optimize.
- Define SEO settings
- Consumer Connect has an SEO panel which the lenders can use to set the SEO settings that will improve the visibility of the site in search engine search results.
- SEO panel has options to set meta keywords and footer and/or header code sections where verification and analytics tracking codes can be inserted to track the website analytics.
- Adding borrower widgets to the non-Consumer Connect website
- Borrower Widgets allow lenders to add a Consumer Connect loan application and borrower portal to the company’s external website.
- By using the borrower widget, Loan applications submitted can be viewed and managed by lenders through the Consumer Connect administration portal just the same way as loan applications submitted from a Consumer Connect site.
- Borrowers can complete any borrower portal tasks such as eConsent, package viewing, and document uploading from the borrower portal page embedded in this site.
- Borrower widgets are added to the site using a code snippet generated in the administration portal which a developer can insert into a designated page on the site.
- Creating loan template rules
- Loan template sets created in Encompass provide templates of loan data, milestones, documents, and tasks for certain common loan scenarios.
- When a loan is submitted from a Consumer Connect site or imported from the Consumer Connect administration portal into Encompass, Encompass can automatically apply a loan template set based on the rules and conditions the lender specifies.
- Lenders can specify these rules and conditions on the loan template rules page within the Encompass Consumer Connect administration portal.
- Consumer Connect leverages the business rules within Encompass to ensure lenders are alerted to any compliance obligations they may have, even with incomplete or abandoned applications.
- Borrower Account Management
- A loan officer can use the borrower account management section within Consumer Connect to
- Use the search tool on the borrower lookup page to find borrowers and loan applications.
- LO can reset the password and generate a temporary password for borrowers if a borrower is locked out of their account or needs assistance with a forgotten password.
- LOs can check whether a borrower has verified the account or not by checking the status of the verification mail send to them to confirm their email address and verify account information. If the borrower has not verified the account after some time, a LO can resend the verification email to a borrower
- For any borrower who has been issued a package, a LO can view and resend a borrower package link embedded in a text or email message.
