- Add the Individual Field to the Contact Page Layout
- The ‘Individual’ object stores customer preferences for tracking and communication.
- While the object is enabled by default in all orgs, it must be associated with leads, contacts, or person accounts.
- We can associate the field by adding the field on the page layout.

2. Assign the login flow to the custom profile created.
- From Setup, enter Login Flows in the Quick Find box and then select Login Flows.

- Click New
- For Type, Select ‘Flow’
- Name: Privacy Settings
- Flow: Privacy_Settings
- User License: Customer Community
- Profile: Customer Account Portal
- Click Save.

3. Publish and activate the flow
- Navigate to the portal’s Experience Builder (Setup | Digital Experiences | All Sites | Builder next to the portal).
- In Experience Builder, click Publish, and in the confirmation dialogue, click Publish again, and then click Got It.
- Navigate to Administration in Experience Workspaces.
- Click Settings.
- Click Activate and then click OK.

4. Copy the portal’s URL and open it in private window for the purpose of testing
- From Setup, enter All Sites in the Quick Find box and then click All Sites.
- Copy the portal’s URL (the one ending in /accountportal) and paste it into an incognito browser window to ensure that you’re logged out of the portal for testing purposes.
- Click the ‘Not a member?’ link in the login window.

- When prompted to create a new user, create a user. Enter an email address that is different from the email address you used to set up your Trailhead Playground, but one that you can still access easily.
5. Login and complete the registration process

- Click Sign Up. You’ll be asked to check your email for a link to complete your account portal registration.

- Check your email and click the link.

- Step through the login registration flow and select all the checkboxes set up in the flow

- Click Next and then click Finish.
- Complete the registration process by setting up a password.
6. Login as admin and check the Contacts list to confirm if the new customer user is added into the Contacts list.
- We have set up a new portal user, check whether the contact is added in the Contacts
- All Contacts list view.

- Click on any Contact record.
- The newly created contact record is part of the Registrants account.

- Select any Contact record.
- Click on the Details tab.
- Click the name in the “Individual’ field

- There will be an Individual record associated with the Contact.
- Note that all the checkboxes you selected in the registration process are actually selected in the record.

- Click on the Related tab.
- You can see a new user created in the org.

- Click on the link under User.
- You will be redirected to the User detail page.
- The new user will be visible as a Customer User.
