Encompass Developer Connect

Encompass Developer Connect is the portal into the Encompass LOS, and provides developers with documentation and tools supporting Ellie Mae’s Application Programing Interfaces (APIs) to extend Ellie Mae’s Encompass all-in-one mortgage management solution to add new functions, to easily integrate Encompass with external systems and data, and to build and deploy custom applications in the cloud.

Encompass Developer Connect offerings:

Application programming interfaces (APIs): Developers can leverage sample code and snippets to learn how to easily customize and extend Encompass capabilities and integrate external data and solutions through the new APIs.
Interactive documentation: Extensive documentation with tools to find information quickly, without navigating through multiple pages.
API playground: Developers can test Ellie Mae’s APIs and explore new capabilities.
Developer resources: Developers and lenders can quickly gain traction with documentation including user guides and use cases.
Developer dashboard: This dashboard will help lenders to understand important insights into how the Encompass LOS can be optimized.
Developer forum: Developer forum is a single location platform for developers to share ideas, best practices and use cases for Developer Connect.

Access to Developer Connect portal:

Prerequisites:
- To set up a Developer Connect account, the following information is required:
  • Encompass Admin credentials (user name and password)
  • Encompass instance name (or SmartClient ID).
To Set Up a Developer Connect Account:
- Open the Developer Connect portal in your browser. The URL is https://developer.elliemae.com.
- To start the process, click the Get Started button in the center of the page.

- On the Create an Account page, provide your personal information as well as your Encompass Admin credentials.
- Enter all the required information on the page, then click Next.
- Review and accept the Terms of Service agreement.
- The Developer Connect Welcome page opens once the account is created. From here you can click My Account in the upper right corner to access the Lender MFA and SAML SSO configuration tools.
